Oran Park Water Play Space

We know residents are excited about the new space coming to Oran Park. We initially expected the Water Play Space and surrounding youth and junior play areas to be opened to the public by February. However, these aspects are located in the middle of the overall park which will not be complete until April and, therefore, remains a construction site. It’s a large area which includes a civic plaza, bio retention basin and riparian corridor with BBQ facilities. As such, there are safety and access issues.

It’s also important to us that visitors to the space have the best experience possible, which is not possible when accessing a space that’s surrounded by construction. With these things in mind, we, in partnership with Council, have determined the Water Play Space will not be opened until all works are complete.

The whole park will be officially opened on Wednesday 15 April at Council’s much-loved Bounce Town event.

The Ron’s Creek open space area will be an exciting addition to the recreational facilities in Oran Park Town.  It will be home to Camden’s largest splash park and only Ninja Warrior course.  The park also features play equipment for both younger children as well as youth, a half basketball court, dynamic exercise equipment, amenities block and car parking.  A formal civic plaza, riparian corridor and bio retention basin offer passive spaces where people can relax and enjoy the open spaces.  Share paths and shelters are provided in the park as well as BBQ facilities within the riparian corridor.
