Community Facility Buildings

Library

Oran Park Library and community resource centre is one of the most striking and well-appointed facilities in town. Providing a curated selection of educational, cultural and recreational benefits for all ages, the library is as multi-faceted as its regular visitors.

The Library includes a children’s zone, fiction and non-fiction collections, newspapers, periodicals and much more. It features multi-purpose meeting rooms and activity spaces.

Julia Reserve Community Centre

Supported by Camden Council, the Julia Reserve Precinct includes two major facilities; a Skate Park and Youth and Recreation building that combine to create an active vibrant place.

The Youth and Recreation building has been developed with a focus on the performing arts. It includes a youth activity room with associated breakout areas, a cultural activity room with an auditorium, amenities including a commercial kitchen, locker rooms, meeting rooms and two offices.

Leisure Centre

This multipurpose facility incorporates aquatic, health and fitness areas and offers a wide variety of activities and services for all age groups.

It also includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, leisure and learn-to-swim pool, indoor basketball courts, spa and sauna, plus a gymnasium with group fitness spaces. Set to be a popular community attraction, the Leisure Centre will be a significant addition to the precinct – and perhaps even spawn Australia’s next great Olympian.

A café, crèche, gym retail facility and basement carpark complement this well-appointed, world class Leisure Centre.

Doohan Reserve

A well-known park loved by locals, Doohan Ovals is one of Oran Park’s largest parks made up of of 10.4 hectares. The Reserve features a clubhouse, four regular sports fields plus two ovals for cricket and AFL. With plenty of on-site parking, residents can also access eight tennis courts, basketball courts and an all-abilities playground.

Fire Station

Equipped to meet the needs of a modern fire service, the $6.1 million Oran Park Fire Station is one of 336 Fire and Rescue stations around NSW. Located on the corner of Dick Johnson Drive and Southwell Road, it was designed to enhance the emergency response capability in our community and the South West growth corridor.

New Life Anglican Church

Completed in 2015 by NBRS Architects, The New Life Church is a striking architectural feature in the town’s landscape. It has a prominent position on a suburban street that’s close to homes, schools and the retail precinct. The New Life Anglican Church was established with the goal of ‘seeing new life’ come to every home in Oran Park and the growing community.
